Last updated 25 October 2026

Draft for review. This notice is not final. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor, and the bracketed details still need to be filled in.

Who we are

This website is run by [Company name] Ltd, trading as Bindbell, registered in England and Wales, company number [number], registered office [address]. We are the controller for the personal data described in this notice. Our ICO registration number is [number].

You can contact us about this notice or your data at hello@bindbell.com.

What this notice covers

This notice covers bindbell.com and emails you send us. It does not cover the Bindbell service itself. When we handle the personal data of a broker's clients, we do so as that broker's processor, on the broker's instructions. The broker's own privacy notice explains how that data is used.

No cookies and no tracking

This website does not set cookies. It does not use local storage. It has no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it does not load anything from other websites.

What we collect and why

When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, receives the technical details every web request carries: your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for and the time. It uses them to deliver the page and to protect the site from attack. [If access logs are switched on: we keep these logs for [30] days to keep the site secure, and then delete them.]

When you email us. We receive your name, your email address, your message and anything you attach. We use them to reply to you, and to keep a record of our conversations with firms that are interested in Bindbell.

Our lawful basis

Who we share it with

Both act as our processors under their data processing terms. We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.

Where it is processed

The website files are stored in the AWS London region. Pages are delivered through Amazon CloudFront, which serves visitors from locations around the world, usually the one closest to you. Google may process email outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, our providers rely on the safeguards UK law allows, such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. [To confirm against Google's and AWS's current terms.]

How long we keep it

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. You can object to how we use it. Email hello@bindbell.com. We will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first at hello@bindbell.com. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this notice

We will update this page if anything changes, and change the date at the top.
